John Borén, Founder and Managing Member of RÄV, has over 30 years of EHS experience. Areas of EHS expertise include environmental, safety and health compliance auditing, management systems (ISO14001/ISO45001 and VPP), hazardous waste, DOT shipping, storm water, waste water, TSCA, climate change, air permitting, and health and safety compliance.

John’s experience includes time in the trenches at multiple manufacturing facilities, as well as consulting extensively for many different sectors, including upstream oil and gas, automotive, manufacturing, publishing, Department of Defense, waste disposal, forestry and chemicals. This background provides a unique empathy and understanding of how it really works.

John is a registered professional engineer (TN, AL, AR, KS, KY, MS, OH, TX), a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Fire Inspector, a Level I TN Certified Professional Erosion Control Specialist, an OSHA-authorized General Industry and Construction 10/30 hour outreach trainer, and an ISO14001/ISO45001 Lead Auditor.

Luke Borén, EIT ASP is a valuable member of our team, bringing a fresh perspective and a strong foundation in Civil and Environmental Engineering. As an EHS Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and a certified Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Luke combines his technical skills with a passion for keeping people safe, making him an ideal partner for your organization's EHS needs. Luke's journey began at Tennessee Technological University, where he obtained his BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Since joining RÄV, Luke has quickly developed exceptional professionalism and technical expertise. He has already gained hands-on experience in areas such as noise monitoring, IH air sampling, safety and environmental compliance audits, training, regulatory research, and report generation.

Outside of work, Luke leads a well-rounded life. You might find him cheering passionately at a Predator’s hockey game, enjoying the thrill of competition and team spirit. On sunny days, he can often be found on the golf course, honing his skills and relishing the challenge that the sport presents. When he's not pursuing his athletic passions, Luke finds joy in spending time with his two dogs, appreciating the simple pleasures of companionship and outdoor adventures.

Luke's dedication to his profession is matched by his commitment to personal growth. He actively seeks opportunities to further his knowledge and expand his expertise. In addition to his EIT and ASP certifications, Luke aspires to be credentialed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). Andrew Rousos is a recent Dean’s List graduate of Business Management from Tennessee Technological University (TTU) in Cookeville, Tennessee. During his academic career, Mr. Rousos demonstrated a strong aptitude for business strategy, marketing, operations management, and financial management and excelled in those subject areas. In addition to classroom learning, Andrew garnered practical operations, business and EHS experience through internships with RÄV EHS Consulting and Walmart. While planning for TTU, Andrew also toiled at Jimmy John’s where he was quickly promoted to shift supervisor. Andrew is a real people person, and we are excited to have him join RÄV as our full-time Operations Manager. With a strong academic background and a passion for business, Andrew will make a positive impact here at RÄV.

Nicholas (Nick) Rousos, with his background in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, brings a wealth of experience to RÄV EHS Consulting. Having dedicated several years as an intern with our firm, Nick has actively contributed to auditing teams for safety inspections and environmental compliance. Nick has also diligently attended various classes to enhance his understanding of environmental and safety regulations, in addition to reviewing numerous environmental and safety plans, Now as a full-time member of RÄV, Mr. Rousos is committed to furthering his professional development. He is currently working towards completing his BS degree and obtaining his Fundamentals of Engineering certification and has set his sights on acquiring his Professional Engineering license in the future. Throughout his journey, Nick remains dedicated to expanding his safety and environmental knowledge, leveraging it for the benefit of both RÄV and its esteemed clients.
